Every enemy does everything, including buffing their allies, it's just a question of which area they lean towards the most. I would like to touch on all of the status effects moves have, individual enemies all have too complete of kits, there are no "stress dealers" or "tanks" and "damage dealers". The Caverns and the Exposed Interior need some serious balancing, they both inflict high bleed, blight and raw damage, combined with tanky enemies. The Treasury is the closest to balanced after the Catacombs, just tone down the spider crits and dear god make the trap enemy more rare. The only area that doesn't regularly bring your party to the brink of a wipe in the FIRST battle is the Catacombs, although chest-caver strikes fear into my soul. I understand that this is made by fans of Darkest Dungeon who wanted to make a new and challenging experience, one that would test hardened veterans of the base-game, but the enemies are WAY overtuned. My one complaint, which you will see echoed in many of the negative reviews of this mod, is that the difficulty is a bit much. The art, music and tone of Black Reliquary is perfect and matches the original game while still being distinct (although some of the designs are a bit horny). This mod is of insanely high quality and could easily pass for official content, the mod contains more content than both Darkest Dungeon dlcs combined and it still isn't finished as of writing this review.
